We never imagined after we first met each other that we would get married someday, yet somehow we knew that there was something special between the two of us.  Believe it or not, we first met on a typical Friday night at our local pub in Wautoma, Wisconsin.  For about a year, we would occasionally meet up with each other here and there.  Steve usually would be hanging with his friend Keith and Becky would often be with her friend Rachell.  In due time, they were calling each other and meeting more and more often.  By June of 2004, Becky and Steve were officially an “item.” 

By October, Steve had made up his mind that Becky was the one.  He and Keith made the trip to Kessler’s Diamond Center and picked out the infamous ring.  The only problem now was how to pop the question.  It was finally decided to trick Becky into thinking that Steve’s birthday party on December 4, 2004 at the Silvercryst was actually his birthday party.  Instead, this would be the engagement party.  By about 9:30 pm, Steve’s friend Gary convinced him that it was time to get it over with.  Steve went outside, in the cold mind you, and sat by the beach on Silver Lake.  Becky was distracted and was told that Gary needed to get some air outside.  Soon Becky was pointed into Steve’s direction and the rest is history.
